Oh, I loved Little Women too! And I love anything written by Jodi Picoult. If you haven't read her work, you simply must. I know you will love it -- "My Sister's Keeper" was only one of the major movies made from her books. She is VERY prolific too -- married and raised three kids in twenty-five years, all while writing 25 best-sellers.

I enjoyed learning a little more about you. What a fun read!

Thank you for reading all about me, Dawn. And, thanks for the Jodi Picoult.suggestion. I read the chapters in Earl's book looking for good reading material. I will definitely check her out.

It was my pleasure. You can't go wrong with Jodi Picoult, in my opinion. She writes with such heart about many different topics; all fiction, but so real, it's as if she lived it.

You could make your favorite cake category. For me cheese always wins, though the perfect snack could be cheese popcorn. I haven't read any of your favorite books. I dont have a favorite poet, but I have a favorite poem, Paul Revere's ride by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Ive seen all the Harry Potter movies but haven't read the books. I like the Beatles too. Thank you for adding a list. I hope this review gets your wok recognize.

Thank you for reviewing this after all of the work that you did helping me to get it posted. It was fun to think about, and I am enjoying reading your other lists. Thanks for doing this.

Hi Debbie, thank you for sharing this with us. I found it interesting but more so because I'm at a total loss. I don't know two thirds of the poets, the authors and films. Just goes to show how out of touch I've become with certain things. All the best. Ulla:)))

I feel the same way when I read other people's lists. I am just creating my own list of books and poems to read.

This is so very cute, Debbie. I really enjoyed getting to know you better. I put my sent my list to Earl a long time ago and he added it to one of his posts. Thanks for participating and spinning it like the Oscars. Such fun.

Well, I don't agree with any of your selections, other than (possibly) The Beatles. Although I wouldn't go so far as to say I love every single song they wrote, they wrote enough brilliant ones to put them in a class of their own. And I'm not questioning any of your other choices - they are all good, just saying they wouldn't have been top of my list.

I enjoyed reading about your preferences in all of the above categories, Debbie. Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,
Craig

Oh, I want to see your list. You don't even agree with warm cake? Cheese? Don't tell me that you would list vegemite, I admit that my writers aren't the best in the universe, but I truly enjoy them. Lately, enjoyment is my criteria. I'm all about relieving stress. Today I listened to Sherlock Holmes (while I walked), Lillian Jackson Braun (while I drove), and I am about to pick up Murder in the Mews (Agatha Christie no less) as soon as I finish catching up on my reviews. I've got some Steinbeck, Robert Parker, and Preston and Child on tap. I like it all. Best writers--Shakespeare and Dickins, but they're not changing my life lately.

It wasn't in any way meant to be a criticism. How boring it would be if we all had the same favourites! I do love Conan Doyle, as a kid I read all of his Sherlock Holmes stories many times over, although I haven't read them since. I love Agatha Christie movies and TV series, though I've never read a single novel.

I like Dean Koontz novels, but I rarely read at all these days, which is sad, and even then it's 90% non-fiction (and I do that for enjoyment). The two last fiction works I read would be Micromegas by Voltaire, and Farewell to the Master, a short story on which The Day the Earth Stood Still (one of my favourite movies) was based.

    I know, I'm weird :)

Lemon Meringue would be my favourite pie (Jayne makes a killer one). I do love cheesecake and Black Forest cake. Tiramisu, almost anything sweet lol

Thanks for that fun list. I don't think you are weird at all. On our last cruise, I won a trivia contest for our group with a Voltaire question. I think he is awesome, but I miss half of his humor because I don't get it. When my kids were in school, I always read what they read. Voltaire was my favorite with the kids there to explain it to me.
I read people's lists to pick up pointers on good reading. I'll have to read Farewell to the Master. Thanks for the recommendation.

What a perfect way to do this, Debbie - using the Oscars as a format. And thank you for sharing all these favorites. I do like cobbler, too. But I make apple crisps because it's faster. I also like the Beatles. You're such a healthy snacker!

I just love how you presented this in such an original fashion. You made me smile and I have to say I love most (emphasis on most) of your choices. This will make a great addition to this book.

Thanks for reading all about me, Sasha. You inspired me with your list of favorites. I remember writing down some on your suggestions to read. I am betting that you don't like my two reality shows. Guess I'm hooked on the singing and dancing contests.

Cute and adorably funny, just like you. I will not make you choose, however, my husband received a blueberry pie for Valentine's Day and said it was my finest baking hour. Of course, he is biased. I would bake you one if you were my neighbor and we would listen to oldies and classical music while eating pie, or freshly baked cookies...it would be a toss up.

It was a pleasure to get to know you a little better and thanks to Earl for the contest!

Thanks for stopping by to get to know me.

    For you, cake. Chocolate?
reply by the author on 26-Feb-2019
Lava cake. It's chocolate cake with warm liquid chocolate in the middle.
