Yes, it was a fun challenge and everyone had a unique take on it.!

I LOVE the term, "glorified hoarding." You've chosen a great topic to write about for this teacup contest. I enjoyed your terms--valued/rare...I love antique shopping, myself. :) Good luck in the contest.

This teacup poem made me laugh out loud with the last part, glorified hoarding! Hilariously true. This one poem jumped to the top of my list because it does more than list, it makes a story somehow. Very clever and whimsical. Kudos to you and good luck in the contest!

This is cute. A good entry for the Teacup Dictionary Poem contest.
Your verse tells the definition of Antiqurian in a fun verse.
Well done and good luck to you.

Oh Dear!
I do believe you have just defined me...in more ways than one!
You have handled the Teacup Dictionary form very well, and, in the process reminded me that I need to purge our home of many "rare antiques!"
Thank you for the smile.
But...I am not going to purge my husband! :)

Thank you for sharing your insightful comments. We all have a bit of the hoarder in us, just some more than others!

Like the verse and its accompanying illustration
Good choice of old words
Minor editing suggestion: glorified hoarding - this mayagree more with the past and your valued word
Best wishes in contest

I agree. Does fit in better in the past tense. Thanks for the suggestion!

Glad it worked for you. Great word I invented: mayagree. It was methinks once used in the past by some unknown author ... LOL

Hi Mystery Author,
This is a very nicely written tea cup. And on such a unique topic, it should do very well in the contest. Best of luck.
You chose a great image that is effective in conveying a sdnse of antiquity.
Thanks for sharing.

I had to laugh at this poem. I live with two hoarders, so know what it is like. I can picture a guy surrounded by chipped tea cups lol. The image alone makes me chuckle. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

These sound incredibly difficult to create but your contribution makes it look easy. And some collections do seem to be more about hoarding than just collecting.
