Yes, onions are leaks, and while sugary foods will often cause you to ponder and wistfully sigh, leaks will not.
They'll make you cry, or cause dogs to die (yes, onions are poisonous to our canine companions in large quantities).

This has such a great flow to it and may I just put it out there that your word choice is divine. Words like 'Wistful' and the way you described the odd effects an onion might have on someone (and often does) are amazing! Never have I ever seen an idea quite as creative as this one. You turned food into art!
