This was a neat post, Sasha. Now I feel like I know you better. Is a Mexican apple pie much different than the apple pie from the United States? Just curious.

Yes, the edges of the crust aren't crimped like in the states and they use three times as much sliced apples as US pies. The slices they give you are huge and I just love it with my morning coffee.

How nice that you mentioned Brooke and Margaret Snowden. I enjoyed them both and miss their writing on FS. I think I read most of Margaret's writings on the site, and loved Brooke's poetry. I'm not a science fiction fan, so I'll skip "Guardians of the Galaxy" and take your word about the music and movies. If you don't snack, you are indeed a wonder. I enjoyed reading your lists. No, I don't snack but do have my strange addictions to non alcoholic drinks. We drink a lot of fluids down here.

Oooooo I love Margaret Snowden's novels too. I love Fanstory for her writing alone but I get so much more...I love chocolate cake ...well anything chocolate...I told my girls when they went to Europe to follow the chocolate...they did..

Other than the occasional slice of chocolate cake, I seldom eat much chocolate since having chemo. I don't know why, but somehow the chemo destroyed my 'I love chocolate' taste buds.

I loved reading your list of favorite things. I wish I could dance around my house, but maybe after I get the injections in my hip I will dance again. I love Margaret Snowdon novels too, and Brooke's poems have no comparison. I'm due to write her a letter.

I miss both Brooke and Margaret. They are and will always be my favorite Fanstory members. Do you have contact with Brooke? Is she able to respond to letters?

Thanks, I love chocolate cake but since having Chemo, my taste buds reject any and all chocolate cravings. I am not sure why, but I don't eat much chocolate any more. Cake is all that I can tolerate.

I have no idea what Guardians of the Galaxy is ,but it you like it it must be fun. Chocolate cake sounds perfect. That little wooden guy is adorable. Anything you write tickles my fancy. Shall have to look up your favorite poet, as I am very new here.

Obviously I have a think for this movie. I am waiting anxiously for number 3 to come out and if it is any thing like 1 and 2, I will be a very happy camper.

Brooke was the number one poet here for more than ten years. Then one day she just stopped posting and we learned she was seriously ill and moved to California to be near her daughter. She hasn't been able to come back and is dearly missed by all that knew her.

That IS just adorable - the little Groot! Actually, my eyes are kind of like that now after being at the ophthalmologist's today with super dilated pupils. Lol.

Yes, my list is much longer but it gave me an opportunity to go on about sweet little Groot... the cutest character on the big screen.

I did write about Groot awhile back. Just before I found a little statue of him at the open market... I bought two, one for each room.
