I'm so impressed that you would try your hand at illustration. There must be something soothing about it, as well. The Activity Center in the city where I live offers coloring classes for adults. I might enjoy that! Good luck with your efforts, too. Your father's taking up painting at age 70 shows it can be done. If you spend too much time collecting the supplies you need, you may never get to it! It's fascinating how a book can inspire us to try something. We'll look forward to seeing some of your work. nope - meant shirley - just being silly.
Thanks - so far haven't taken the time to sit in my comfy chair with lap desk to begin. Maybe tomorrow. Today was so gorgeous, I spent a lot of it outside, pruning back leggy plants. Maybe manana. I AM going to try. Also wrote a long political poem, but may not post it. I tend to get angry at the news and wax poetically.

I've about decided to sit in my comfy chair with an ottoman and prop my drawing pad on a lap desk.
and believe me, modestly is probably the only way I CAN go.
'Course I may go to sleep in that chair, but that's okay, too.

disabled from spousal abuse and have my own hospital bed, shared with two cats. LOL

I was disabled by my abusive husband. There was no settlement but now I am free of him.

Nice. I used to draw quite a lot and LOVED it. I used to get LOST in those images. I mean LOST. It was wonderful. With writing, I still stay attached to the world.

and nouveau de realization sort of means (I thought it did, anyway,) sort of realizing my limitations. I'll look it up. may change it.
