Seems like Tyler has a bright and entertaining personality and he really loves his brother. So wonderful that he and his twin are so close and that they look out for each other. Thanks for sharing this, one, too.

What a nice tribute to Tyler. Are you going to have to write another for Caleb? Those dare games are all too often dangerous. I hope Caleb doesn't feel responsible and feel that he should have been been able to have prevented anything. This is well written.

What a great dedication to your grandson! I like how we get to share in your personal life and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your world. Such a classic picture of him in the water! That will be a funny one to share when he gets older. I know there are strong connections between twins and he is displaying his concern for his brother which is so special. I hope Caleb is better and doesn't take on all the dares in life! I guess we all have people in our life that we are blessed to have and need to be thankful for. Thanks for reminding us all. : )

Awe inseparable they are and end up become separate now and then. It is hard to wade through but one does in the end waiting for your sidekick to come home is hard.

Thank you so much for the superb review, Ben. I so appreciate this. Someone with three sets of twins can truly relate. You are such a blessed man. I will be posting Caleb?s story later today and then the final installment of my oldest, grandson, Joshua. It looks like we have many of the same names running in our family. One of my ancestors, Joshua Dupree, died in the Battle of Bull Run. He was 18.
    All my best,

Tyler is a happy-go-lucky kid. It is great to be able to love and be loved. His feeling for his twin is great for they were together in the womb and it s so right for them to be together as they grow older, I glad he brings smiles, spoil him but don't overdo it. Even if it is hard, :) Thank you for sharing.

Oh my goodness! I 'felt' that horrible accident. Thank heavens the rest of your descriptions were so charming. I literally covered my mouth in horror (so that shows you just how good your writing is!!!)

But not fair! I now love your grandson, Tyler, and I won't get to meet him! (*smile*)

Thank you, dear Dawn. It is so good of you to stop by and review. I appreciate you very much and your kind admiration of Tyler. He is very special. I am working on Caleb?s story right now and will post this weekend. I hope you can catch it.

Hi Sal,

Awwww - this is such a sweet tribute to your precious grandson! It is very nicely written, as always. Nothing here to suggest improving upon.

Tyler sounds so delightful. Surely the apple of Gram's and Gramp's eyes! That must have been horrible for he (and Caleb!) the day of the dare and such traumatic injury. Has he had counseling for this? It likely caused vicarious trauma. (This can be very damaging to anyone, but especially to young kids' psyches.)

Thanks so much for sharing.

Jan

Thank you dear Jan. It was nice of you to stop by with such a kind review. My next story is about Caleb and in the works for this weekend. He is fine and fully recovered in every way. He has learned the lesson of not succumbing to peer pressure and the value of listening to wise counsel. Tyler had warned him not to jump. We are blessed that it was not much worse...it was quite a fall.
    All my best,

Hi Sal - My pleasure to read your writings - always! That said, thank you for letting me know Caleb is doing well and that he learned a lesson - perhaps a "cheap" / "easy" lesson, compared to many that he may face when he gets older. (Shivers) I sure wouldn't want to be a kid these days. I was wondering when your story about Tyler's twin would emerge. I'll be looking forward to reading it. :-)

Sal, you write the best and most heartwarming stories. This was precious. I love my grandkids, and, you are right, they bring out the biggest smile in us grandparents. They take us back into their world, and you so eloquently wrote about that here.
Twin boys ... you'll have to write about Caleb or did you and I missed it?
I really love this, Sal! Thank you for sharing this :))
Hugs, love & blessings,
Gale

Always the name I wait and watch for...my dear Gale. I am so glad you enjoyed this. Tyler is a special boy and the story of Caleb is in the works right now. Hopefully, by Sunday. I am glad to hear you share the same love for your grandchildren. They are such treasures and a gift from God. All my best, Sal xoxo

Some kids really are special aren't they? Tyler certainly sounds like one of them. I picked up a couple of points:

When his mom came back to camp hours later to report that Caleb was okay, but would be in a cast for eight weeks; Tyler was distraught. The semi-colon should be a comma

And:
'A la mode, please...Grammy
There is a quotation mark missing. I think it's called a quotation mark. My school-days have long passed.
Tyler does sound a real joy to have around.

Thank you for the excellent review and kind critique. I think I will leave the semi-colon because something stronger than a comma is needed here. À la mode I will fix with voice text as I cannot type it correctly in basic editor. The little accent before the a is not available. Thanks so much.
