Lordy, I'm exhausted. How is Veronica going to get Mildred out?!!!! We can't let Mildred die. I can hardly wait to see what happens next. I wonder who the man was that rushed down to help her. All these people are so brave.

This is a good chapter for your book. I can see how close Veronica and Mildred are. Mildred was getting dizzy because of the smoke. I can see the fear in Veronica as she feels she is losing her friend. The powers that be I don't think betrayed them. A head injury always bleeds more than it is. I can understand why Veronica feels that way. Very well done. I am looking forward to the next chapter to see if Mildred makes it.

You're right, I was surprised at how much blood you lose from a crack on the head, but it isn't necessarily fatal. We will see what happens to Mildred in the next part. OMG! How will you get help for her? I don't think it is a good thing for you to be there in spirit only. This trial should show the Powers that Be it is not a good idea in war
torn areas. They need to be there for each other. Poor Mildred. Maybe that dedicated fellow will return. He saw how weak she was. Good Job. Nancy:)

Oh no! Mildred can't die. I think the powers that be need your help more than ever. This is a tough case and only Veronica and Mildred could find the answers. They know that when the going gets tough, Veronica digs deeper to get things done. I have faith in Veronica.
