Another new form. I jot these down and will look them up. This has such a light touch - the fingers of dawn. Quite lovely actually to think of light caressing the mountains. That is what it looks like. Thanks for the lovely images.

I admired your use of personification, alliteration and vivid imagery in this Rictameter. The magnificent picture is quite reinforcing and the ensemble is transporting. Cheers- Joan

A very well-written Rictameter about the awakening of the sight of the mountains in early morning light makes it look like golden shining fingers pointing above.

Such fun imagery. It reminds me of Homer who described morning with the "rosy fingertips of dawn." Enjoyed all reference to sound, sights and touch in the poem.

Excellent use of the format, and your syllable count is right-on. This is very visual, and one can imagine the dawn touching the mountains. "Wispy, golden touches" is lovely. Nice alliterative sound with fingers and feathered. The soft hues suggest a peaceful start of the new day. judi

This rictameter is very lovely and well-written. You have made
effective use of personification and metaphor to give the sunrise
a considerate "personality."

This is a good Rictameter you wrote. I can feel those feathered light fingers caressing the mountains as well as my heart. You awake the desire to have the knowledge of the abundance of words at your finger tips. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Melissa,
Nice Rictameter :) Nice shape on the page. I love shape poetry but haven't the patience to keep adjusting words and lines. My double etheree from yesterday will be my last attempt for quite a while.
You give a nice description, and I love your title, "Awakening". I like your f sounds too.
