Very clever Steve, you've covered a lot in your witty verses, but for me, the lead in verse is the best. Love the marionette, in a tangle the poor clumsy comic fool. No punches pulled, enjoyed it.

Your poem is incisive, witty and pointed, great political piss-take, underlining with all those other politicos mentioned how evil and manipulative the whole lot are... quarrelling, smirking, lying, double-dealing. Every day I give thanks that i live at the bottom of the world in a country with stable politics, some of whom actually appear to have ethics.
I posted a moral fable reworked recently, The Potentate Plummets, and it appears that the only people to review it are Aussies and English.... touchy territory for Americans.

I am well aware that we mainly get the worst of his words and actions on our screens and that part of the chaos unfolding in the US is the fault of the adversarial political system and stupid traditions like the Supreme Court members being blatant political appointments. However, it is clear that this man is a skunk of the highest order. I hope to see him in jail one day.

I have the answer, but ain't nobody gonna do it!
If everybody simply ignored him for a week or a month - that's Dems, media and sill folk like me, he would go absolutely ballistic and all his manias would be so apparent they'd lock him up in an institution.
Realistically, you can't do anything except slowly proceed on the charted course and wait for History to do its thing. Unless Mueller has some wild cards up his sleeve, that is. If he does, things could get really interesting.
In the meantime, it helps me blow off steam occasionally just to let some of this nonsense pour out.

I understand the venting. But the building pressure here is beginning to effect my inner ears. I tend to agree with you--Trump is likely to implode. But what havoc might he ignite in the meantime?
No one knows what Mueller has. But I see a President who slipped his rails from the moment he took office.
Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are the real marionettes here. If McConnell had a backbone, Trump would have no sway.
That there are still Americans who support Trump boggles me.
I say we exile him to Mexico--then I'll support the wall.

It is a total mystery to me how this man ever got into office and why he hasn't been chucked out by now. Still hoping that day will come, although it may bring about a civil war as his base are never going to accept that their hero has done anything wrong,even when the evidence is presented in black and white.
