A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about children's imagination that is very innocent and can mean a lot to them. Alice in Wonderland was my first owned story book I could read myself and it is still my most precious treasure.

Delightful artwork that enhances your verse well. Children do have minds that soar beyond what we as adults achieve. I love haiku and the 5-7-5 form in general. It is amazing what 17 syllables can say. Nice job with this.

THANK YOU Miss Sherry for your kind remarks about my imagination. If you are interested in info about Haiku, please visit theHaikuFoundation.org website. One can post here ONLY if their moderator accepts your verse. But, there is no funny money earned for reviews or entry fees. I have had a few of my Haiku 5-7-5s posted there. You will find that many of their Haiku does not strictly adhere to my three-lined, 575 format.

Thank you so much for that info. I really love traditional haiku, but 5-7-5 allows more freedom.

True 575 is an easier do, but that Haiku ?aha moment? (satori) may be worth our effort!

You are very right - that is worth it all!

What a lovely presentation. The image is wonderful and your words compliment it nicely. If we can imagine it, it can come to be. Regards, Lou

An interesting 5-7-5 offering for today -- takes a link between a child's imagination and peeking into the future ... great tie-together. :) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

    Brigitte,

THANKS for your look today. I try to use FanArt illustrations as my go-to choice. The ?eying? is how I see the cartoon characters looking out at us ... Sometimes even adults can have an imagination... LOL

Imagination is key to relating to misunderstood things. I enjoyed reading. I have a vivid one that helps me through the day and night, lol.

This is another good one, Mark. That last line is outstanding--really outstanding. The photo is outstanding as well. The middle line is very, very good. I'd work on the first line though. Seeing the future? Is that what children's imagination is all about? Now you may be making a reference to Alice in Wonderland that I am not familiar with. In that case, ignore my comment.

    Debbie,

I tossed about ?eying the future? but neither one is a reference to Alice. Unfortunately, ?peering into the future? has too many syllables for my thought.
