Hello Nomi: Man, you sure hit the nail on the head with this one. I guess they think because they wear those robes they are untouchable.
Well, they may get away with it here on earth, but the Man upstairs will take care of their kind. To me, that's a form of blasphemy.
Take care and thanks for telling it like it really is...Bill

I think that if you force young men into celibacy this is the sort of thing that is likely to result. Mind you having said that the Church of England is not entirely guiltless in this matter either.
'So, this fa§ade I have built' - Evil Eddie's gremlins have got the better of your cedilla here I think.

Yes I have been stabbed in the 'façade' thank you so much kind sir. I really do appreciate your fine comments I am in full agreement with your views on forced celibacy. The scriptures only call for celibacy for those who are not only able to bear it, but who are dedicated to maintaining that state.

Hi there,
We live in a wicked world. I'm sure you are right--religious leaders from all denominations will be found guilty of this horrible tragedy. I cannot imagine how things have gotten to this point, but I'm sure its been going on since the beginning of time.
Thank you for sharing your poem,
~Mustang Patty~

According to the scriptures Satan the devil was able to convince a third of the angels in heaven to forgo their lofty place in heaven to come to earth to have sex with human women and father children with them. Thereby becoming demons and no longer able to return to heaven.

Very well-written poem that could be about any religious denomination, but also could be about anyone guilty of a hidden crime that goes to their grave with the truth. The artwork is a very sad accompaniment to your poem. Good job.

"what is truth", is an extremely well-written and thought-provoking piece. Not for a moment would I attempt to answer this talented poet's rhetorical questions. I look forward to seeing your next post.

This is a very strong piece of writing. It is a message that has been hidden for far to long. Excellent verse and verbiage describing pure evil. Well done, Nomi338................meeshu

This is very gritty and poignant, yet reveals so much, that it is hard to trust anybody, no matter how religious they seem. You spell it out so well and so simply. Not using big words is very effective. Almost as if a childlike person is speaking it. They certainly aren't mature, and obviously, are incapable of having mature relationships. So they must prey on children who are entrusted to their care. And are supposed to look out for their welfare. The last two lines say it so true, "I won't be here to tell, I will be somewhere in hell." This is brave of you to write and post. I hope you don't receive any flack from those who might get defensive about this problem. Thank you for sharing and telling the truth.
Take care, Jesse

Thank you Jesse. I do realize that I took a risk in posting this controversial piece but I felt it was time .

You are so right, it is time! We've known, for as long as I can remember, that this was undoubtedly going on. But everyone turned their backs and used a blind eye to this problem, until recently. Addressing this problem is not only time, but it is also overdue to address, and I applaud you for having the guts to post this.
Jesse

Wow, this is a good poem to stir up some thinking. It's long over due... The reckoning with the sexual abuse in the churches. I grew up on a church bench, in one case the pastor turned out to be a pedophile that molested his own daughters. And another account are you sleater was discovered to be a pedophile, I had my own experience as a teenager for the church man ...yes this needs to be reckoned with,..no religion is exempt. Anywhere children are taught to unquestionably obey authority and authority claims to be backed by God, children haven't got a chance

Thank you for your words, an earlier reviewer tried to assert that not all religions are guilty. I told that reviewer that it is not the religion, but the people who practice the religion, therefore it can and does happen in every religion.

I agree...there have been sexual abuses in all professions and all organizations, and all institutions, just as there's been dishonesty, scams, oppression, and prejudice. At the end of the day it's the people who run the show that are either good or bad.

This one hits me hard! I'm a Southern Baptist; VERY recent news stories
tell of abuse in our denomination. How sad when those we should be able
to trust turn out to be perverts. Your poem is very well-written and moving.

Thank you Janice for your comments. Be comforted in knowing that the religion is not at fall it is the imperfect people who lack the strength and moral courage to live by God's Holy standards.
