I enjoyed your poem of remembrance.
Memories of walks on the beach with your loved one.

A very well-written poem about remembering the good times on the beach when we walk there with a dear one by our side. That is the precious memories we made that never leaves our minds.

lovely remembrances, though with a sad note.
Good, visual descriptions plus your neat accompanying picture almost make me feel like I'm at the beach.
Driftwood sticks get polished over time becoming... like jewels...sticks? not shells?
Anyway, it's a pretty poem of remembering. Vert nice.

Thank you for sharing this poem. The beach is quite the muse. The first thought I had was of that religious "Footprints" poem. Then of course there is the classic Edmund Spenser poem, "Amoretti LXXV: One Day I Wrote Her Name." There are many subsequent poems that seem to be inspired by this one, all dealing with life's impermanence and memory in some fashion. Anyway, good luck with your contest entry!

Nostalgic, romantic and so beautiful. I like the metaphors used and the poetic sound of your poem Sergeant Floyd. The title too, is interesting, "All things Remembered"...I like how the poem ended on that note.

Wonderful and beautiful.

Hi Serg,

Thanks so much for sharing this lovely Valentine poem with us all. It was a delight to read and a beautiful tribute to your other half.

I enjoyed the part most about placing the stone in the sand.

Nothing here to suggest you consider revising.

Hi there,

A bit of nostalgia for my last read of today. I love walking on the beach--as long as it isn't too windy. (Of course, here on the coast of Oregon, it's rarely NOT windy.)

Thank you for sharing this lovely walk,

~Mustang Patty~

This is my favorite stanza
Walking barefoot on the beach,
we left our footprints in the sand.
Ten toes times two,
A high arch plus flatfooted. ...high arch plus flatfooted ...made me smile and imagine seeing those prints on the sand
God bless

This is a nice poem of remembrance. You give nice descriptions for the reader in this. Two sets of footprints, different feet, and all treasures to be found on this couples track down the shoreline. Thank you for sharing.
