Yvette, I truly enjoyed reading this story about Robbie. Well crafted and presented in a perfect way. It is an excellent entry for the 100 Word contest. Good luck.

Very smooth intellectual advice, vice for the younger generation. I enjoyed reading it, and you chose a beautiful picture to match your poem. Terry.

Wow, Roy -- thanx so much for those wonderful comments, sir -- really appreciate your stopping in on this one!! ;) It was fun and quite 'grounded' compared to many of my writes, but a girl's gotta keep her feet in reality once in a while - LOL! ;) :) Take care over there and have a great week! ;) Yvette

Clever idea, but is it legal? To copy another's writing and give it away is one thing, but to SELL it is likely NOT allowed. Also, I can't see anyone paying more than a dollar for one of these cut'n'paste magazines. Still, the cost can be adjusted, but the legal issue cannot be.

Thank you for your review, Phyllis. 100 words is not enough to include the words describing his putting the credits for each article as he pasted them -- that is one of those things that is implied. Of course, just like any 'current events' grouping in newsletters and websites and such, the credits would be included as part of each article. I have added a note regarding such in the author notes. :) :)

Wait, he just copied and glued the same printed articles onto recycled paper and SOLD them to the residents? Well, he certainly does have an entrepreneurial spirit. Lol. Good story.

Yes! I would certainly agree, Helen! ;) ;) Glad you enjoyed my little Robbie tale here -- I usually like to dabble in my fantasy on these short ones, but once in a while we need to do reality! ;) :) Thanx for stopping in, ma'am, and have a great week! :)

Oh, yes! I think it would fit him nicely, don't you, being that 'orange man' was an entrepreneur as well? :) :) Keep on keepin' on out there, dude, and you have a great week as well! ;) :) Vette

This is well told, Yvette. It's almost as though Robbie is someone that you know. Your story is that real. What an inspirational little boy. I don't think that I have ever met anyone quite like him. That's what makes this story good. Robbie is so good.
Good luck in the contest.

Yeah, no basis in reality whatsoever on this one, MQ -- actually thought it up while I was taking care of the flu-folks 'round here over a week or so ago...you let your mind wander when you take care of the husband, you know....keeps you from getting a little annoyed at the fact that he forgets he's a grown man when he's sick! ;);) C'est la vie....we love 'em in sickness and in health, yeah? :);) ;) Thanx for the wishes of luck and have great evening! ;) :)

Hope you don't get the flu. I hate taking care of sick people because I know that I will be next. And who takes care of the mama?

A very interesting story. Robbie sure did win that journalism kid award. He deserves it for a hard work done. I like this story. Good luck in the contest!
