This is a really well crafted poem, I reckon Bobby will be thrilled to read it!
Nicely rhymed and with great sentiment.
I particularly liked the last line; I have to say that 'evolving' is so important in a relationship...we have to grow together or else the partnership becomes unbalanced or gets stagnant.

I couldn't agree more; the evolving is crucial! I liken it to a plant in which one side doesn't grow proportionately to the other - very unhealthy, indeed.

The honest-to-gawd truth, Earl Corp, is that he is both. Twenty years ago, he was different, but I was, too. Thankfully, we've been evolving enough together to make his perfection-for-me seem like an ongoing state of being!

Very nice love poem. To find that special someone you know you want to spend the rest of your life with doesn't happen very often. I think this makes love poems easier to write. . .nothing needs to be forced to complete the prompt. Wishing you well in the contest.
