Your writing is smooth and has such an easy flow to it. I enjoyed reading this writing so much and I agree with you, we just got our first taste of winter and I'm over it.. Very well done, Cindy......................meeshu

What a nice read! The format you used and the pleasant rhyme scheme can't do anything but zip your reader through. Lucky for me I live in a warm place. Raining here today, and cold...only 60! Regards, Bill

This is good to me, it is so relaxing on a snow day to just curl up and let care of the world go by. But like your poem sooner or later you have to take care of the issue you have with your car or removing snow from around, or off your car as well as the drive way and etc.. But it is so tranquil. Believe it or not, it is snowing where l am now and I am here writing on Fanstory with a tranquil spirit.

Your couplets are nice and the arrangement of the poem is also.
Congratulations on your wins.

Thanks for the six! I really wasn't expecting them for this poem. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm happy to report the tire is fixed and I'm back on the slippery road.

I do feel sorry for all you folks who have been suffering through this dreadful winter. I live in the Houston area, which has its benefits in the winter, but we have to worry about hurricane season.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, Cindy. It had great rhythm and I liked your rhymes too. But more than that, it had kind of an upbeat in its message. Yes, you're going to get through the winter and yes, you know how to fill your mind with the joys of spring.

The last stanza was adorable and put a smile on my face. Best Wishes, Lou

Thanks. If I got through last week, I can get through enything. I guess there are problems wherever you live. We're freezing in Canada and Australia is suffering through a heat wave.

I curl on the couch and cuddle my cat
Snack upon spring rolls and make myself fat
Trying not to be grouchy I spend the next hours
Dreaming of sunshine, robins and flowers.

Way to go - if this is how winter wants to play his game, then bring on the spring rolls - and anything else I can nuke for a snack! I enjoyed this bit of protest against the cold and snow. The poor little bird is braver than we are...

A very well-written poem about winter woes. When winter starts to drag on far too long for comfort, we start getting glimpses of wonderful Spring and sunshiny days. Winter is far too long.

It was seventy-five and sunny day before yesterday, now it's forty and raining. I certainly know what you mean. It is now 52 days past the equinox. Wobble, planet. Roll that sun north! Excellent poem...

Yes, I understand your feelings about winter. I have no real wisdom to share that will make it better. All I can tell you, is that for many years I had a snowmobile suit, no snowmobile though, cross country skis and a toboggan. Lots of firewood stacked for the fireplace. And yes, the winters can be long but you do what you can. Hope you survive. Best wishes.

You took the words out of my mouth! I've had enough of winter..thank you very much. I hate the snow and cold..and there's been plenty of that this winter. I love this poem, it truly reflects how I feel.

I enjoyed your poem. You definitely give readers the feeling intended that you wish for Spring, NOW! Good job on the rhymes, the smooth flow, and the overall effect one takes away from your poem. The picture is a great pairing with your words. Thanks for sharing. Jan
