I love your poem and the last verse is hilarious. I think snow is beautiful, but I guess it's because I don't get much over here.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks. Yes, snow can be lovely, but we have too much. Wish I could send you some.

Your poem is felt down to my cold and frost bitten bones. Your subject is near and dear to most peoples hearts and it is nice that we are able to take this ride with you (except for the cold part).

Thanks. I think we're all ready for spring. It's been too cold for too long.

Loved this. beautiful writing. I don't remember ever having so much ice. Of course I didn't live here when they had so much ice Power was down for a week or more at my parents house. I like winter, but not all this ice. Beautiful but so dangerous. Blessings, Barbara

Yes, it can be beautiful, but it's so cold and the roads are treacherous. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Lovely poem, Cindy. I share your dream of spring. We h ad temps fall to -27 the other night. That's a record since we've lived here. Previous record was -26 on Mark's thirtieth birthday. The guests' cars would not start, so they all slept over anywhere they could find. Good thing I never throw away a blanket or quilt. :)

Thanks Phyllis. Neither the people or the cars are liking this weather. Good thing I never throw things away either.

A very nice poem that tells a story of this horribly cold winter we are having, even
here in Southern California. I like the rhyming and the descriptions of flocks of
robins, swift spring streams, grasses and ponds warmed by the sun and buds and
pussy willows on the trees.

Is it really horribly cold in California? And I was wishing I was there till April! Glad you enjoyed my poem. Thanks for the wonderful review.

We are not used to this cold. Our nights have been in the 30's and days in 50's with the cold air coming from the snow in the mountains. We've had a great deal of rain this year. We need it but we've had enough. I'm in Riverside about 60 miles from LA and 50 miles from Palm Springs.

This flowed excellently and the point was clear and direct in a nice way. I would like spring to be here too, even though we don't have snow, it's absolutely freezing!

Thanks. I'll send you some of our snow. We have tons and the roads are treacherous. It's too cold for the salt to work.

Lol, dreaming of spring is a wonderful thing to do, I used to order magazines that offered flowers for sale. I laughed though about the flat tire, because it twisted the tale and then went back on itself to dreams. Good work, enjoyed reading it.

Thanks. This really was my life last week, flat tire and all. Today's better, only -23. Glad you enjoyed.

What a stunning photo of the cardinal in the snow. I LOVE your rhyming pattern throughout. You have so many details of the upcoming spring (bunnies, squirrels, trees, sunshine, robins, flowers). Your sense of humor shines through too! A well-written poem. I am also anxious for spring! :)

Thanks. I think everyone is anxious for spring. This winter has been too long.
Comment from Gloria ....
HA, I just love the bird. He's got some cheek too and complains about the same kind of things I would, particularly the car troubles and curling up cuddling the cat. My bet is the cat would like that.
Most fun poem, Cindy. :)

Yes, the cats were happy. The car wasn't, tho. It doesn't like cold or flat tires. LOL Thanks for the review.

Oh how I too long for the days of spring! I love your use of alliterations with "breeze buds" and "swift spring streams." Your rhyme scheme has a nice flow and your use of humor is spot on! Excellent work!

Thanks for the six! I really didn't expect it for this poem. I think everyone is dreaming of spring.
