Hello Cindy Warren
and smile from me (Gert) also and still frozen .
You describe so well of how we feel in Vermont in your rhyming poem of what we would wishing for sunshine, robins and flowers. Instead of more snow and frizzing weather

Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear you are snowed in. They continue to forecast snow for us, but all it's been is rain, rain, and more rain. (Except in the mountains, they're calling for over three feet of new snow by tomorrow - since Sunday.
I love the artwork you chose - we do know the harbingers of spring.
Thank you for sharing,
~Mustang Patty~

Thanks. There's more snow in the forecast here too, and it's going to stay cold. It was the flat tire that really inspired the poem. I think we're all ready for this winter to be over.

Hi Cindy! Boy is that going to be speaking to everyone about now!!! I know for a fact that it's screaming in my direction as it's sleeting here presently after a couple of inches of snow. A slew of accidents in the state today, I got all my stuff done before it started.

Thanks. Yes, a few people think I read their minds. LOL We're all ready for this winter to be over. The roads are horrible here too. Glad you got your stuff done before the snow.

I enjoyed reading your well-written nature poem about winter. I love your artwork choice. It enhances your message about the woes of winter. Your poem rhymes well and flows well with your personal woe of needing your tire changed. I like your ending. How you found peace in waiting for them to come to fix your tire. Best wishes!

Thanks. It's amazing how a cat purring can make things better. When I think about it, I was lucky. I had worked a 3-11 shift the night before. If that tire had blown a few hours earlier I would have been in trouble. And now the tire is fixed and spring is coming, eventually.

Hello :)
I really enjoyed your poem.
Nice and bouncy it is a light and lovely read.
Verse 1: Agreed...I'm desperate for Spring to appear too.
No snow for me (just an odd flurry now and again a couple of weeks since!) but the cold and the dark nights really get me down.
I adore your last verse - cosy imagery, nice alliteration and enjambment.
Best wishes, Debra :)

A well written and entertaining piece written about what feels like the artic freeze which is spreading across the U.S..
With a flat tire, the temptation to drive to sunny Florida has been squashed.
Enjoyable read... John

What a timely and well-rhyming poem. It tells a story that is all too common in many areas of the U.S. right now. I have two sons living in Washington and they were snowed in today! Crazy. Let's all pray for warming sunshine and not too much slush after that. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I have a lot of people saying I must have read their minds with this poem. Seems most of Canada and the U.S. is in a deep freeze. Hope it warms up soon.
