There's one horrible situation after another in this novel. I have no idea what Veronica is going to do, but everybody has to be okay so things can get back to normal. Mildred needs to be back in her correct time.

Things are coming to a head. Next chapter will hopefully sort some of it out. But, Ver is not happy with the Powers. Bless you, my friend, I loved your review. :) Sandra xxx

Poor Veronica. Those Powers have no respect for her, after all she's doing for them. They treat her like a slave. She should find them and demand a salary increase or threaten to quit.

Bolts! Of course. Makes all the difference.

I have a question. Why can she move lightweight things? She has NO mass at all, so she should not be able to move even a feather.

Thank you so much, my dear friend, for the lovely six stars. :)) Things aren't going very well for Veronica at the moment, and no, she isn't at all happy with the powers.

I think I'll have to put a little bit about what and how Veronica can do what she can. Do you remember in the first book of this trilogy, the ghost of Lady Ann who was murdered with Vicar Peter and thrown in the cespit by her husband, Sir John? She taught Veronica to walk through doors, and hold the diaries, and even taught her to write little notes. They had a lot of fun tormenting her murdering husband. But anything heavier than the diaries are a no go. It came in handy for the last book and now this one. I was going by what Patrick Swayze could do in Ghost. (Loved that film)

Thanks again, my friend. :)) xxx

Yes, she was taught. I had forgotten that. You might add a reminder.

Hi Sandra,

It's always fascinating to read your chapters :) You are doing a terrific job with this story. Never a dull moment. I like it when Veronica has to think her way through all the hurdles in her way. I'd just give up. Can she not go through walls to see what is on the other side of the bolted door?

Thank you so much for another lovely review, Joy. Yes, Veronica can walk through walls, stick her head through to have a look. But, she is frightened, she scared at what she might see. As far as she knows, they could all be dead, and she'd feel it was all her fault. That is why she is so angry at the powers-that-be. She'll know very soon, so will you!! :)) Stay tuned, my friend. Big hugs. :) Sandra xxx

Oh wow! I was into it with her. Anxious and really nervous that things were not going well. Why do people run when they see something like that. I would freeze I think. LOL Well she did it, but we have to wait until the next post to see if she was able to save them from the smoke. Well done Sandra. Nancy:)

Do you know? I think I would freeze, too! It's a shame that lot didn't. it would have saved her loads of time. Now, to see what lies behind the door. Thank you so much, my friend, for another lovely review. Big hugs. Sandra. xxx

Ohmigosh! I worked so hard helping her to get that bolt undone, and now you make me wait to see what's there. The tension was very strong in this part of her trying to get someone's attention. Yes, she should have written the message first. I hope the Power That Be don't punish her for her outburst.

LOL! I just knew someone was helping her, and it was you! LOL. I had to finish it there, Yvonne, it's Sunday, and I couldn't upset everyone, could I? LOL!!! Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars and fabulous. The Powers were listening, we'll be hearing from them soon. :)) As for the message writing, yes, Veronica should have seen that coming. She did her best to hide it while taking it to the table, and then ruined it! She just didn't listen to me! Thanks again, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxxx

Another great chapter Sandra. Veronica proved her frustration and then some. It was a nice touch for her to find the doors bolted and that with some work she could release the bolts. What a shame that she frightened off the workers with her antics, it could have saved precious time, but it added a great level of mystery and suspense. I was constantly asking myself if she would indeed be on time to save not only Mildred but the patients and staff. You did a great job presenting details and descriptions. Well done my friend, hugs and smiles. By the way, how is Eric doing?

Thank you, Alie, for this fabulous review! Veronica is just so angry at being delayed at every turn, and then getting it wrong herself. I think I would most definitely have thrown a tantrum, but Veronica is far more able to see reason at the last minute than I ever am. lol. I'm so glad you are still enjoying my book. Big hugs back, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Eric is coming along slowly. He is like Veronica, gets so frustrated when he can't do what he wants, but in his case, not being able to just get stuck into reading. It will take time, but I know he will get there, and I've already told him I'm going to write more adventures for him. It was amazing seeing the look on his face when he unwrapped his book at Christmas. His expression at seeing a picture on himself on the cover underneath the spaceship, brought tears to my eyes. It was so worth the effort. :)) Thank you for asking. I'll be starting his next adventure when this book is nicely tucked up. :)) xx

Wow. I hadn't seen your work before this, but I found myself sitting on the edge of
my seat wondering whether I caught the gist of the chapter, that you were sent back in time to save some people. Well written. Fascinating read. I will look for your books!

I love the frantic panic you express so well. How frustrating it must be not to be able to communicate . Note to self if I ever become a ghost... write the message first so people don't freak out seeing chalk flying around. It's like the book of Daniel..Mene Mene...
God bless
