Hi Brett. I've read about this extensively in science magazine and on line while writing my BOT stories. Autonomous vehicles will be a mixed bag, as your guests argue here. Transporting goods will eliminate the jobs of long-distance truckers. It is also predicted that organ donors will be drastically reduced because there will be fewer traffic accidents. On the other hand, robotics in the car will give it the choice of whether to slam into 20 pedestrians or kill its one (or more) passenger(s). Logic will tell it to kill the least amount of people to save the lives of 20. Interesting stuff. A whole new world with robotics/AI. Marilyn

There are so many things going on at the moments, the debate is a very hot topic, as were incredible changes in the past were. I think the first motor vehicles were much slower in the beginning, but people thought that 15 mph was a breakneck speed, and horses or horse drawn vehicles were to be given way. Who knows what the future holds, but tests have been incredibly successful. I loved this official debate and unresolved script, it was both entertaining and enlightening, well done, blessings, Roy

Well you picked a topic that I have mixed emotions on. Personally, I cannot see myself giving up my driving autonomy. Not for years at least. My dad drove at age 89. I would have loved to take him from behind the wheel though. And, my daughter is a terrible driver. I look forward to her first driverless car. And my 5 year old grandson may never have to drive drunk.
My son-in-law works on Alexa now, but is dying to switch to driverless cars. It's a big topic at my house. Still, I don't trust them. I hope the switch is gradual and safe.

I agree that this is going to be more dangerous than the 'experts' anticipate. What nonsense to have driverless vehicles, especially big trucks! The argument of helping the vision-impaired and handicap people is ludicrous when they say the driver must be able to take over! I certainly don't want to be anywhere near a driverless vehicle.
