What a great picture - I plan to read about the phenomenon,
It certainly is a wonderful visual for your verse.
Fun,, clever, and full of wonder:)
Good choice not to use in pies :)

Good for you and me Marilyn!
I was unaware of this 'ghost apple' until I read about it a few days ago online. There were various pictures (and online articles) to choose from. You apparently liked my selection. I liked the idea of creating an image via my Haiku for the same.

A very well-written haiku and a very interesting icy ghost story about the ghostly ice apple that appeared in the apple tree over night in extremely cold conditions.

This is so cool (pun intended). I have seen these pictures before, but your sweet verse really makes it special. No apple pies from this for sure. You are very clever and I really like this very much.

What a cool phenomenon! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the link to the story, too. There seems to be a lot of magic to be enjoyed in winter. No, they wouldn't be good for pies. Lol.

Winter is often magical with a hot chocolate and warm just baked cookies or cake.
True, but I like apple pies (some are frozen in the freezer).
This ghost apple story has a lot of media legs.

I saw this icy-apple phenomenon on the news. Your words describe it beautifully. Love the use of the word choices, "ghost magically" and your decision to have them not be for hot pies is brilliant.
