This is a wonderful acrostic, and I think I understand the message. But I must say that in some ways I find it a bit disturbing, because perhaps I DON'T understand.
Life is brief, and a gift from our Father. I believe we are meant to enjoy it until He calls us home, and yes, we must be obedient, we must wait upon the Lord, but we must also do our best not to squander the sublime gift He gave us. Have I missed the point?
Regardless, it is a powerful poem, and well written.

Your message loud and clear. Truth told. I too prefer poetry without punctuation. I t seems harsh and abusive to me when I see it written with punctuation. Like blows to the softness. Blessings, Barbara

Very nicely written ACD. Punctuation has its place and in my opinion that is at the end of a sentence, so I can appreciate yours.

Interesting Acrostic my friend. Yes, we are all waiting to cross the badlands to return home; crossing the river Styx to eternity. All the signs for leaving this cradle of sin are there for those who have eyes to see and ears to listen. Well done friend.

I read this like a psalm from a believer to the Father God and looking to fulfill His will as best as he can while on earth and having the great joy and hope one day to be reunited with God in Heaven.
