I find the same thing with me. I cannot go outside much anymore due to my health, but people seem to find it easy to talk to me and I have met many lovely folks just by being open. Just be careful who you talk to and don't get in cars or places you can't escape from. This is a very sweet write.

What a beautiful and heartwarming poem about the power of a simple conversation. I've had similar occasions recently, where striking up a conversation with a total stranger was the difference between being bored and frustrated, or happy and comforted. Those simple conversations can make a world of difference, and you expressed that beautifully with your rhymes, and with the repetitive pattern of the poem: you did something, that caused you to encounter someone, that led to an impromptu conversation. It all came together well to form an enjoyable poem.

This poem is excellent and I love the visuals of you talking to the officer, finding a sock, the key in the lock - I thought the whole piece seemed to rhyme so effortlessly. It is really well written :)

I loved this write! All those great opportuntities to talk with people and you never know who you might meet! We were just walking and talking and the England football captain jogged by, we said hi! I had no idea who he was! But it's amazing who you can meet! Love Dolly x
