Brigitte,
'This is a nice ode to Michael Cahill who was a good writer and a kind reviewer. I hope we all can meet before we follow his trail.
Maybe we can have a round table discusstion between us and the famous poets up there.
Keep writing, stay healthy and Happy New Year.
Joan

Good homage poem, it works in just six lines, I like the use of comparison too troubled youth and the difficulties they face. Good use for the form, I enjoyed reading it.

I did not know Michael, as I am fairly new here. But through all of you, I have learned so much. This is a wonderful tribute with great artwork. I am so sorry he is gone from us, but you are right - he is smiling down from heaven and sending his muse to you all.

Thank you for reading this piece. His words will live on. He, a kind and humble man, leaves his mark on many.
I had the good fortune to know him and admire him as a writer and as a human being generous beyond words.

I am hearing in an indirect manner that Michael Cahill died. I would prefer to think he simply woke up in an alternate life, a probability become actual where he is writing away as he did here. Presuming he is gone. I know you mean the Hansel and Gretel reference kindly, but still, it chills me a bit as the witch's house is at the end of it, right?

Thanks for the poem...and the information I am slowly getting
Best

Thanks for the tribute. Only recently joined but was quickly pulled to his words. Your words are uplifting and hopeful and will surely bring him a smile. Your rhyme was like finding a piece of candy.
