I so agree with your words, especially Buddy Holly as he had such an amazing talent and died so young and in his prime. Just imagine all the music we missed because of is death, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

I remember this day well. Such a tragic thing to have happened. Young men at the height of their careers lost to the world. I also remember the day Rickie Nelson died in his plane crash. No one expected anything like this to happen. They will live in the hearts of rock and roll fans forever. Very nice tribute and well done.

A sad day, indeed, music lost some its greats.
Some by a mere flip of the coin.
Many on fanstory will remember the day.

What a great entry for the contest. I did not realize the depth of the tragedy at the time. I was 5. I have now grown to love their music and appreciate their contribution to rock and roll. It was such a loss.
