This was a really great read, Sunnilicious. There were quite a few outstanding lines that made an impression on me. Love the truth element in this. Nice job.

A very melancholy Free Verse poem that embodies the emotions of depression and rejection. It seems that you need a hug, So here's one. HUG! Know that you are loved. I pray your pain will pass.

I am glad to see you are posting again, even if it is about a rough patch. I think it is good to ask oneself these probing questions, as long as we don't dwell too long on the introspection. Take good care of yourself- Joan

Hi Alicia. Excellent poem that resonates with me and many others, I'm sure. There are times when we may feel like we don't fit in. "Every way I can look,
I was cast as the outsider to my own life." In maturity, it seems, we finally find ourselves. Hopefully, we don't have to wait that long, though. Great job. Marilyn

Being on earth life back in control and you will over come these fears you are hoarding of not belonging to anything or anyone in particular.. Find mor outlets to express your self.

Good to hear from you, Alicia! And what a deeply honest poem. You are really in tune to your own spirit and I like how you express for all of us with multiple perspectives of soul, heart and body. Perhaps being a multi-cultural person makes us more sensitive to these differences.

This is raw, and honest, and a very sad write, Alicia. We all have such moments, and writing about things that bother is ever so cathartic. "I was cast as the outsider to my own life" ... wow! ... so much impact! "So what do I embody?" ... you embody the sweet, kind, sensitive person that you are! Please don't ever change.
Hugs,
Connie

You have written a very introspective piece that resonates with the readers. This philosophical verse, even though it is short, makes us stop and consider your words.
All the best,
Melissa

Your poem is outstanding it makes an interesting read . It also deep. Seems you were trying to ascertain the meaning to life by searching deep inside your soul so as to discover who you are or what you are. Great read
