This is a fun contest and your offering maintains the spirit of the thing with this humorous lament about your weather. Meanwhile, I luxuriate in mid-summer sun. Eat your heart out.
The meter is not perfect, but that was not required for this contest - more importantly, the rhyme and general structure is fine and you have a nice punchline.

Thanks for your review, Steve -- glad you enjoyed this fun rainy write ... be sure to catch some rays for those of us who seem to only be able to catch rains instead.....hey! Just a good, ol' fashioned limerick, but it was kinda fun to write a poem that I wasn't counting this and watching that length etc! :) :) So glad you enjoyed! :) You're awesome for taking the time on this and the others -- thank you for being such a wonderful online friend! :) :)
