Playing Fiddle is an excellent new Old County song with the double meaning metaphor going on.
Excellent artwork to compliment your work.
Well done.

So cute how your poem has a double meaning. Fiddling usually means playing the fiddle; but, in your case, it means fooling around. What a great story poem, great way to ask a question. Read my writings, also. liberty justice

I really enjoyed reading your Poem and adore the artwork that you've chosen.. It sounds like a song to me. Very tongue in cheek. Nice one. Best wishes. Jen.

Hi there,
Interesting use of the word, 'fiddle,' in its many different meanings.
Your poem is full of love languages and the way we try to get information from our loves. The free verse style works well for this type of thing.
Thank you for sharing,

This is an EXCELLENT piece. You have made great use of your "fiddling"
metaphor to smoothly lead the reader to your message of a weary person
who's wondering if he's about to be deceived--again!

Hello Clockwise,
I can hear the fiddle playing in that bar. I took to playing the piano because my fingers couldn't take the pain of holding down strings. Solving riddles while he fiddles sounds like a clever guy to me. I enjoyed reading this musical poem today.

An entertaining write here -- you've employed the unusual rhyme scheme quite well and your following of the old 'cheatin' country song' meme is fun...one can almost here that fiddle keeping time! :) Thanx for sharing! :)

Would give 6 stars if I had them - just because of your clever word usage and innuendo. The entire poem is smooth and well-written as well. I never thought one could use fiddle in a poem so adroitly and without overdoing!

Hey Clockwise, I really like the way you 'fiddle' lol. That was really cute once I got into the rhythm of it. It ought to be a song. It sounds like country to me...or Norweigan...(I can hear that it's the same rhythm as the ditty in Frozen that Ana's boyfriend is singing to his reindeer, Sven, in the barn at the beginning...) ;)
