Great story about love in the air and cupid's arrow. I enjoyed the playful nature of the story and found it to be refreshing. "now it's my turn"...favorite line!

Thank you so much for the excellent review and kind words. So glad you liked my latest Catzilla. ?Son of Catzilla Versus Megalon? was a nominated contest entry for the month of December. You can access and read it in my portfolio. Just more wacky fun with my famous cat.
    All my best,

I took it upon myself to cheer him. A better grade of cat food perhaps. A new squeaky toy or soft blanket for sleeping was sure to please.

Nope...wasn't happening.
... Did ya happen to try catnip, Sally? It always works for my cat.

He reclined more than he sat upright in the black "pleather" bucket seats. ... I'm sure they're not made of pleather, Sally. Remember Ricardo Montalbon from Fantasy Island? Do you recall the commercials he did in the 80s for the Chrysler Cordoba and its plush "Corinthian Leather" interior?
Well, then. There ya go!
Then again, they could just be vinyl...

Junior gazed at her with longing. He kept looking back at the door as I hoisted him back into my 73' Ford Pinto. ... Oh, you drove a 1973 Ford Pinto? Then those seats were most definitely vinyl...

Well, you can't really call what your cat, Junior, and your bosses cat, Pumpkin, experience as puppy love. After all, they're cats fer gawd's sakes! That would be highly inappropriate!

Cupid's bow and arrow took aim. It struck Junior and Pumpkin' that day. ... Uh, Sally. At the risk of sounding crude it was a helluva lot more than Cupid's arrow that managed to find its mark that day.
Just sayin'...

The used car salesman specifically told me they were ?pleather? seats. I believed him. What an adorable Tabby...looks just like my dear Junior. I am glad you enjoyed my story somewhat. My young grandkids read my writing so it is rated ?G?. They get into FanStory through my son and love to browse my portfolio. Keeping it real but appropriate for those little eyes. The especially love Catzilla.

Thanks so much for stopping by with the excellent review.
    All my best,

I like that wording, "ponderous bulk. " That was an excellent story that I enjoyed reading. That is a great use of humor to deal with that dangerous holiday, Valentine's Day.

Thank you for the kind review. I am so glad you liked my newest Catzilla. Junior was no longer depressed because he got some lovin?. It was now my turn to be depressed because I had another cat delivered to my door to care for. I did not want or could afford another cat? even donned with fresh produce.
    All my best,

Thank you Sally. I guess that everyone and every living species in the planet has the will and feeling to procreate. Still, some mammals are lifetime partners. It appears that one more lifetime of kitties doing their thing is in store for you. Congratulation mama!

Dear poet, I received the same review from your twice. I am not sure what happened or what do do about this. Anyway, thank you, again. Possibly, a computer glitch?

I enjoyed your story, Sally. You did a great job telling it. I was engaged from start to finish. To write about kitties in this way, you have to really know them. I bet you have several kitties. I know this is fiction, but the little baby kitties would be irresistible. How nice of your boss to gift you a kitten--in the story. This was a fun read. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thank you dear Jan. I always appreciate your kind words and encouragement. Catzilla is a fun write for me and there is always truth woven throughout my stories. I really worked for a law firm and drove a 73 Ford Pinto. Mr. Stoneman did hire me because I agreed to type, make coffee and be nice. We attended the same church.
    All my best,

Oh what a sweet story! I love your humor especially your quip that you "threw in the typing skills for good measure." And how nice that Junior's depression was so timely cured by meeting Pumpkin.

Thank you for the kind review and comments. I am so glad you enjoyed my latest installment of Catzilla. That part is actually true. I did work as a law firm receptionist and I was greatly appreciated because I could type, make coffee and be nice. It was a well-rounded job.
    All my best,
