This is a story as old as time where a woman must choose between her father and her love interest. Beautifully written with strong dialogue. I was disappointed that Drew seemed to give up so easily and also that Shana let her father take control of her life. I'm hoping one or the other will see the light!

I like the emotional high and indecisiveness of what to do in this chapter. Makes me wonder what the previous chapters were and go back and read them. Since I don't know the previous scene, I can't review the flowing of one chapter to the next, etc. However, I did see that crime, justice, and action had taken place previously. The conflict needed in good fiction is there. Just curious, for my own writing, how long is your book?

I enjoyed it. I thought it had nice flow and you do a really good job of going from dialog to story. Overall I thought it was really good. I quickly picked up on the story and it was easy to read.

A funny side story to this is, God won't have a special place for Jews, and a special place for Christian Gentiles, they are both God's people, rejecting Christ, means rejecting God, so believing Jews and Gentiles alike will worship in the same place, that's what Peter discovered, when God lowered the sheet of kosher and non kosher foods and other things down from Heaven, I think if Benjamin truly loves his daughter, he will want her to be happy, as I care for my daughters and want them to be happy. A very well written piece that allows the reader to invest emotionally into the story. A nice simple flow from paragraph to paragraph and easy to follow through your character interactions. Family vs. true love, very intriguing and never ending societal dilemma. Thanks for sharing.

Yes Drew was compassionate and gave in, but still that makes it harder on both him and Shana. I do hope he finds a way they can be together.
