First of all I was just thinking about pink roses when I saw your picture. Our minds are in sync. Your pink roses look like paper tissue flowers. They are beautiful. My favorite flower is pink roses.
We are having winter here, so I can only sigh at the thought of seeing pink roses this spring. My pink peonies are spectacular in spring. I can't wait to see them again.
Nice poem. Le sigh...

Hi, Joy. I am with you on sighing for the sight and scent of pink roses. You will have to post a photo of your peonies when they are in bloom. Thanks for the review.

The snow has come and in turn the roses go into a deep sleep to return once again if the survive the freeze. Many roses can survive the freeze if kept safe.

So pretty! Roses are so special, but they, too, must sleep. The saving grace is they will come with the spring - as it says in the song..."and in the spring, with the sun's love....becomes the rose..."

Well I'm looking at our rose bush under 8 inches of snow right now. Poor thing. Just a couple more months...sleep tight little bush. Spring will come again.
