Hi Roxanna,
This chapter retains interest and helps to build an image of the kind of men both Hamish and Lucas are.
It is sad to read of the worth men placed on the womenfolk but it seems the women are proud and strong.

I haven't been following the previous material as I wasn't on much last year. But here are my comments as I pick it up here. Seems to be a dramatic battle between good and evil.
You immediately provide a tension between the brothers.
Excellent description of the battle preparations.
I love a story with dragons.
Wonderful interplay between the characters, even with the dragons. Very touching and realistic.
You really paint the evil within Lucas.
Lydia rational plight is well described.
Hmm, Hamish has been planning this for a while.

I haven't been following the previous material as I wasn't on much last year. But here are my comments as I pick it up here. Seems to be a dramatic battle between good and evil.

Writing 101: Never apologize for anything you write, unless it was insulting or rude, which is not the case here. You are a fine writer with a wonderful imagination. FanStory members have a tendency to back out of longer writes and ongoing sagas. I personally love them. I am a "Les Miserables" kind of girl. Hopefully, this will change in the days ahead.

I just dropped in toward the end, but what I read was easy to read and follow.
