A lovely pairing of picture and poem. I like how you personify them as "springtime visitors" who "stay far too short." We won't be seeing them around here anytime soon.

I like almost anything that has two lips. These tulips always seem to be something to invade them, turned up for intruders as they are. These tulips are flush with surging bloody urgency. A fine assessment of a flower with a perfect name.
