Awww, I love this whimsical little (short) poem about what the dragonfly might dream of. What a fun topic! Your stanzas work well together. It's a delight!

So glad you enjoyed my fantasy piece on dragonflies!
Comment from Bill Schott
This 3-6-9 suite, Dragonfly Dreams, has the right format and finds the evening denizens flitting, floating, and croaking away. Nice.

A very well-written 3-6-9 suite poem about the dragonflies dreams at the pond where lily pads floating and the bull frogs croaking at sunset and the starts come out soon.

I have a glass dragon fly on my microwave that looks quite a bit like the artwork you selected. I enjoyed your dreamy questions in these tercets, along with your use of alliteration. Best wishes in the 3-6-9 Poem contest- Joan

So glad you enjoyed my piece on dragonflies. I think they're fascinating creatures!

Fascinating creatures, how they hover over water. You put the reader next to the pond and we watch the antics of all who live there. I loved this poem. The food chain has to go on. I wish you luck in the contest my friend.

You have made effective use of every syllable in this lovely,
thought-provoking poem. Yes, what do they--and other
nonspeaking nature's creatures--dream about?

Thank you for your positive feedback. It is much appreciated.

A lovely and unusual subject. Yet the dragon fly is a popular insect of nature and folklore. In Jamaica we see dragon flies mostly in the countryside.
I like the artwork selected as well as the effortless flow of your poetry.
Best of luck in the contest.

Thanks for reading and reviewing - and for the tip on the syllable count. Cutting, pasting and revising easily confuss these tired old eyes!
