Hi Patty, it all tells a bit about who we are think. Not so useless really. I find this very interesting. You and I are only a couple of years apart so share a few things. All best. Ulla:)))

    Hi, Ulla,

Thank you so much for reading my list of lists. I'm glad you enjoyed, and it is always nice to know who is around my age. We definitely have a wide of ranges within our little family,

Quite a list you have there - your memory is just incredible - I agree with some disagree with others but for the most part smile and reminisce through how you wrote all this down - wow - I loved this actually - it does help you learn more about the person you are reviewing instead of just a poem or story critique - we are not far apart in age so basically I've been through all that you have listed -
Patsy Cline - the only artist / singer that brings tears to my eyes when I hear her voice - just an amazing talent - I have only one favorite poet - and that's Edgar Allan Poe - I live less then 20 minutes away from his grave and visit quite regularly - notice pic in my profile - hope you don't get upset when I post the crypt of the forsaken - when I go down and awaken him from his place of rest - so much to elaborate on your list - yet I don't want to bore you with a very long review - but thanks for sharing - respectfully Ron

    Hi, Ron,

Thank you so much for reading my List of Lists - I love these little exercises that crop up from time to time by other authors who start a multi-author book where we can all join in.

I find that a lot of folks here on FanStory are round our age - it is nice to have a somewhat like-minded group.

    Thanks for stopping by,

Thanks Patty I enjoyed that list immensely
I don't know if I could do that - you did it
so well - I'll start posting some me poems
to reflect a lil of who I am here and there -
usually my mind just writes from my
creative imagination - but I have interest
I am sure I can share to give people an
idea how I became me lol - thanks

Good morning, Patty

Enjoyed the list. What is Marrionberry? Quite impressive. Maybe you should make this into a contest with your categories and a few others like favorite magazines? I couldn't list my five favorite poems for two come to mind -- The Charge of the Light Brigade and the Hangman. I was surprised you didn't list your favorite movies or authors. Anywho, well done!

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

    Hi, Ray,

This was a List of Lists that was started by Earl Corp. I have to agree with you - there are so many things I could have talked about that would have been more germaine to my writing life.

I will work on it - right now I'm building a 'How To' Guide for folks who are wondering how the new tax laws will affect their tax returns this year. I wanted to get started early, but the IRS just released a very preliminary set of rules and direction.

I promise to get to your last post. It's sitting in my Inbox with about ten others.

The favoutire poets have a few that could join my own list

Most of the pies are not known to me - or at least not in the names you've listed them

Same as above, but it's never too late to listen - or try out!

The 2016 Presidential Election- Went to bed thinking Hillary had won and woke up to the beginning of a nightmare - We share this; the same happened to me.

    Hi, Aki,

The morning of November 9, 2016 was one of the worst days of my life. I'm totally serious about this. I went into a downward spiral. I worked on finding ways to move to Canada. It was awful.

Glad to know we have more interests in common than just writing,

    Thanks for the R&R,

    And we weren't alone, Patty.

I remember running downstairs to the library where my husband usually worked when not in the cits. I blurted out that T had won the elections. For a moment he didn't even know who T was, until I said, The American presidential election!"

I think because I grew up in the fifties, sixties and seventies, I think my favourite musical time, was in the seventies, even though a sang rock covers in the sixties. The three most significant times... innocence lost...JFK assassination, Optimimsm, moon landing, and the horror of 9/11, well done. Patty, blessings, Roy

It is always good to get to know you better. I am glad you like my reading choices and the large print Bible. It really is easier on the old eyes. I am getting ready to read "Endurance":again, it is such a wonderful well-written book. My son who is in seminary reads about ten books a month. He got me latched on to this one. I call him for suggestions when I need a good read.

The sad revelation is that I am older than you and Earl...hard to accept. We share many likes, especially Carrie Underwood. Love her.

I hope you are well and good. I am still praying for you, dear Patty.
All my best and enjoy that large print.
Sal ;+)

    Hi, Sally,

Yes - I had to switch to the large print Bible about five years ago. I put in on my Amazon wish list before Christmas, and my daughter got me a purple Bible and purple Bible cover. It certainly makes it easier for reading.

    You're only as old as you feel inside - I'm 16. ;)

Interesting, Patty. It was good to get to know you better, and I always like advice on goods reads and music. I have refused to read Stephen King, but, with two books on your list, I might give him a try. And, I've never heard half of your music list. I am behind.
And most importantly, I don't even know what a marionberry is. That one I will try for sure.

    Hi, Debbie,

A marionberry is native to the Pacific Northwest, so I'm not sure if you can get them. They are sweet and sour, and tangy. The pies are wonderful and when they are in season, several restaurants feature them - we have marionberry milkshakes from Burgerville, and special pies from Shari's.

Thank you for reading my list of lists. Stephen King isn't such a bad guy. 'The Stand' has been my favorite book for over thirty years. I read it once every five years now. It's long and I know the story too well.

A very well-written list of things that make you feel happy and bring joy into your life. There are many things we share on your list, so I think we are mostly loving the same things.

I am going to bookmark this so I can go item by item with my response. we are so close in age and experience it's uncanny. the six is for your poems list and for the look on Cyndy's face when she sees it tomorrow. I am stunned and so surprised, Patty. you've made my year and it's only January.. I have returned to your great list. even cooler--we are 1yr,1mo,1day apart. I have only read two of your poems (4&5). I thought your #3 pie was a jab at a coke-head mayor of D.C. I like 2,3,5on the country list. I'd have Hank, and Johnny added. I vividly remember the funeral procession and Oswald murder. that's reality TV. moon landing--in awe. Challenger, I still "Obviously a major malfunction." in my head. pieces of the wall started showing up in Vegas bathrooms. this was so hurtful, I respected the Presidency before that, I Hated having a rapist in that office. guess I was using today's standards and not Clinton standards. The Democratic Party and NOW have yet to explain themselves. 911--I remember what Cyndy and I said to each other, vividly. my brother was in a long-term, I'm not sure he bothered to get married. the Hanging Chads, I was riveted, the best show I ever saw. I stayed up util dawn watching Hillary lose and Rachel Maddow, et al. eat their own heads. I still relive it on youtube when I can. Wolf even cried like a baby. so great.
"Tale of Two Cities"---HUGE. I thought someone was playing a joke on me lets tell this guy his guy his five favorite artists started a band, HAHAH and yes I was an ELO. fan in the 70s so I knew Jeff Lynne. this was great fun Patty. I just came out of a two-day migraine, it hurt to think. but I'm back...........meeshu

    Hi, meeshu,

Aww - thank you so much for the sixth star AND letting me know how much we have in common - it is uncanny, isn't it?

    ~patty~
Ok - so I need to find an obscure poetic form AND use the photo from FanArt - shall we use the keyword, 'history?'
reply by meeshu on 15-Jan-2019
"history" it is. we both use the same pic. or no? I'm still looking for a good form, unless you've got one.
reply by the author on 15-Jan-2019
No, let's find our own with that keyword. I haven't looked yet. Been ghost-writing!!

If we can't find it in art, can we use Google search and give credit where credit is due?
reply by meeshu on 15-Jan-2019

So sorry to hear about the migraine.

We are one year, one month and one day apart? Which way? Who is older - me or you?

I hope you don't get hit too hard with snow,

    ~patty~
reply by meeshu on 17-Jan-2019
I afraid I am the elder. 9/28/57. we got 6in. in the Valley (it's gone already) and Tahoe will get 6ft. another blizzard for them tonight. I think the Baro. pressure made this one so bad. if you don't have a Challenge form picked out, Panntoum is about the coolest.
