This is so lovely and captures the frostiness and purity of a snowfall shining in the night streetlights. I love the short, but intense message that this one gives. Well done.

Karyn

I love fewer words that say a lot like you have. I walk my dog at night and when the moon is full and snow covers the ground I don't need a flashlight. I love the reflection of the snow but the picture doesn't make me think of ice. It's a beautiful picture. Well done.

Hello Karyn,
Simply stunning. Your 2/5/2 poetic offering speaks volumes of winter's pristine beauty. Your chosen artwork truly resonates with me as it reflects the entrance to our subdivision here in northrern Michigan. We just had an ice storm last evening, and our trees looks just as reflected in your well-crafted poem.
Thank you for sharing!

Yes these poetic lines capture the sheer magic of the 'night's snowfall' under the light of the moon - and a superb choice of adjective to conclude - lovely pic

It's hard to capture anything in such a small space, but your poem does have that nice balance and the sparkling imagery, the oriental nature imagery. That word pristine serves as the epiphany moment. It is an image of clarity, of purity, that seems born of the moonlight and the snowfall. The only thing missing is a human element. An epiphany of the human experience of purity or lack thereof. But maybe your poem soars over our mortal heads a bit. Nice job with a really short poem estory

Thank you so much, estory, for your awesome review and comments for my poem. I truly appreciate your encouraging response, and I'm delighted you enjoyed the imagery. The human element to me, was looking out my bay window and seeing such sparkling undisturbed snow. It was an incredible sight. Thanks so much!

This is a lovely poem, and the picture you found pairs beautifully with it. Your poem "captures" the essence of the picture so well. In a mere 9 syllables, your poem speaks volumes. Syllable count for each line is spot on. Best wishes for the contest with this gem of a poem.

Cheers,
Connie

Hello there,

You have captured the beauty of this winter scene :) Winter has some good moments apart from being freezing cold and giving people frostbite.

You have fine syllables as required by the contest requirements. I love the picture. I love that your title adds the diamonds to the overall description.

Best wishes in the contest.

Joy xx

Enchanting! You have created a marvel with very few words. The winter scene in word and art work is like one taken our of a fairy tale.

HELLO INDIANAIRISH: I like your posting here in that it expresses the original purity of freshly fallen snow in a winter's wonderland. And you've done it in a brief, clear, and in a to the point way. With just three lines and five words you present your message to your reader. Good work, poet. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and yours. Cordially: rhonnie69.
