For a tale of woe, you write with a good deal of humor. That is a good sign. But that back pain sounds serious. I hope you are seeing a doctor. I sounds a lot like what my wife is going through. An she just got hospitalized.

My back is much better, I took some pills I had to help me relax and it really helped the problem. Thanks so much for the read and review. Rox

Hi Roxanna,
So sorry to hear of the invasions you have been experiencing.
First, the dreaded and silent invasion of stress which sometimes seems to float in the air we gulp in when under great duress.
It is difficult to also cope with thoughtless noise issues when you are paying to have a job done.
The only positive I can offer is I hope you are now feeling much better and enjoying your lovely newly renovated space.
Blessings
Shirley

I am doing better but we are still way behind and our staff seems to get sick so often so someone is always out. But the Lord knows all about it so am trying to leave it with Him. I'm still not reviewing as now I'm having allergies that affect my eyes and they are so tired feeling, reading is not fun. I'm hoping that will soon pass, everyone is having problems with them right now. Allergies stink. =} Thanks so much Shirley.

Hi Rox, and welcome back. I'm glad you're feeling somewhat sort of maybe better. Let's see if I have this correct, as you were so ambiguous about it. I think - and correct me if I'm wrong - you were in pain and stressed out, and dealing with, um, um, noise. Yeah, that's it, noise. Next time, please be more specific. Seriously, thanks for sharing and for putting everyone's mind at ease that you're still alive and kickin'. In your usual way, you've managed to make even expressions of pain and discomfort funny and heart-warming. I suspect you could take the Physician's Desk Reference, listing all drugs and what they do, and make it an enjoyable read with your charming and relatable sense of humor. I hope you feel fully better soon.

Thanks so much Michele. I am feeling better and trying not to stress out over my job. ={ I'm still not back to reviewing as now allergies have started, everyone here is having problems with them, and it is affecting my eyes. They feel so tired and reading is not fun at the moment, but I have drops and am hoping this too shall pass soon. Someone just shoot me. =( Thanks for the read, I'm glad I can make my ailments fun for everyone. =} Have a great day,. Rox

I'm sorry about the allergies but no, I won't shoot you. I'm way too selfish to eliminate someone who always knows how to make me smile. My sister used to suffer from terrible allergies, and she went to a doctor for shots that helped treat them. (That kind of shooting I do support, if it might be able to help you.) I admire your attitude, in that you might let these issues slow you down, but they don't seem to stop you. You seem to share my philosophy: If it's a choice between laugh or cry, I'd much rather laugh. So, feel better - and keep laughing!!

Hi Rox.

So it's the old...
new car vs new floor routine going on. A new car has a significantly lessor life then a new floor that's for certain.

Well you made the choice right for you.

Nicely written and conveyed. John

Boy I would love to rip out all my wall to wall and have that new flooring that looks like hard wood floors put in.
My daughter just had it put in all but her bedrooms and it is so beautiful. It would save us from a lot of our allergies that get trapped in the carpet fibers. Hope you get to feeling better but know this, I would rather have new flooring than a new car anyday! LOL :)Nancy

I am so glad to hear you are doing better. Work stress can eat away at our souls. Hang in there. I'm glad you've decided to take time to rest, take time off, and have realized some things are beyond your control. BREATHE... :) Congrats on your new floors. I did wood floors last year. (I can relate to the annoying LOUDNESS). Your author's notes made me smile and appreciate your sense of humor. :)

Yes, I was just saying to myself, "where is that girl?" I hope you are felling completely well soon. Stress is a booger. I have a progressive blindness and I am writing and reading as fast as I can, not knowing just how long my retinas will hold up. I always wake up in the morning with a sense of urgency, especially in writing. This causes me stress many days from which I just have to give to God. He knows about it.
So good to "see" you.
All my best,
Sal :+)

Awe, Roxanna, I'm so sorry that you let work stress you out like this. That is not healthy. And if you're not healthy you can't do your job. I'm so glad you're feeling better and congratulations with you're new floor. Yes, it is expensive. I've just had one of my terraces re-tiled and that cost me a fortune. So I know what you mean. Warm regards. Ulla:)))

Hahaha, you sound like hard rock is a bad thing, Rox (with a name that sounds like "Rocks/Rox", I never woulda thunk it).
Just because someone listens to Metallica, Megadeth, or Ozzy doesn't mean they're bad people.
I listen to all of those groups, and more, and I don't think I'm a bad person.
I say this because in your narrative you sounded somewhat surprised by their politeness and gentle demeanor.
Just as the genres we prefer to read and write in doesn't define who we are as a person, the same thing holds true for the music we enjoy.
Some like Gospel, some like rock, speed metal or classical. I mean, you can have blue grass music, I hate that crap.
But I don't dislike the people who do.
Just sayin'...
I'm glad you're feeling better and on the mend.
Take care,
~Dean

    Sorry I didn't mean to sound as if people who listen to hard rock aren't nice. They were all very nice and worked like dogs, poor things and they didn't even take off for lunch. I'd have been dying of hunger. Thanks Dean. Have a good week. =}
