The passing of friends leave an empty spot in our souls. I like this poem and wish you the best in the contest. Many blessings, Patricia

What a lovely tribute to the sweet memories we have of loved ones who haves passed. Like a gentle breeze that leaves a final caress. I'm still swaying from the loss of three dear friends in the past four months. 'Til we meet again, I fondly wave. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem.

I heard that trees flapping made the wind blow. We have autumn winds as well as March winds and I'll wager the trees hate to see the mild winds go, knowing that winter's coming...excellent five/seven/five

This poem is well-written and thought out. It is good to have inspiration as you did with this poem. It meets the criteria. The story can be seen in the writing. Good job! TA. ";-)

This is kind of fascinating in that it paints a picture where the moving branches and gentle winds are unrelated... the branches wave, the winds blow, but one is not causal of the other. Haikus are perfect for creating that sense of detachment, and that detachment helps to paint the picture of grief to honor your friend.

Nicely done.

A sentimental write about the winds of time passing us by and your attitude toward it here is one of sweet farewell as you stand firm and strong in its midst, your words are full of strength and determination, love Dolly x

Kahpot, this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 poetry contest. All syllables are in check to convey a message of fleeting moments that can linger after they are gone. Nicely done on this enjoyable read. ~DD

A wonderfully written poem. Those we've lost will always sway us and we shall always wave goodbye as does the branches of the trees when the wind moves through them. It's a lovely sentiment. Good luck in your contest.

What a heart-touching 5-7-5 you've written. I love the sentiment of those gone as wind blowing through the trees and waving goodbye. A lovely poem. Your format is perfection. This is a solid contest entry. I hope you do well.
