A lovely poetic reverie of anocternal nature walk done in a flowing Free Verse. You take us there to share the sights and sounds all around. From the night sky to the birds and fireflies, you share the experience. Good use of alliteration in:
started sunset, grudgingly going, sky sequined, flickering fireflies, soothed soul, was well in my world.
I smiled as you did sneak in an in-line rhyme - sway over day.
A delightful read.

Well, this certainly is a nicely described nature stroll free verse. I felt as if I was there, too. Illustrated and worded well. Descriptive throughout. My only suggestion would be to enlarge the font just a bit for easier reading. Marilyn

Great free verse. You create such a lovely, serene setting in this. The sequined velvet sky and the birds and other creatures settling in for the night make for a very peaceful atmosphere. We had baby chicks when I was a child, and I remember the contented, chirping sound they made. Excellent job of creating the atmosphere. judi

Great free verse. You create such a lovely, serene setting in this. The sequined velvet sky and the birds and other creatures settling in for the night make for a very peaceful atmosphere.
