A very well-written story about cancer that doesn't care who you are or how old you are when it takes space in our bodies. The only one who can change the results is God at the end of the day.

The word cancer is not what we want to hear ever. So glad you are feeling okay. Life throws us the worst diagnosis when we least expect it.

You've been through a pretty scary time and come out the other side, So God certainly wanted you to survive Dawn. I've never had an operation, but I had a cancer removed from my leg, so I suppose I did. Thanks for the advice my friend, great write, if you saved a a single life, it's worth while, well done, blessings, Roy

Thank you so much, Roy. Some days I do feel like it's pointless, and reviews like this keep me going.

This is a gripping story of cancer survival that only those who have heard that diagnosis can really understand fully. My wife survived her kidney cancer which went from a inch incision to remove the organ, to a full-blown eighteen inch extraction. God bless you and your terrific recovery.

Thank you, Bill. Adding your wife to the list of those for whom I ask my church to pray.

Dawn, Dawn, Dawn!!!!! You're still here! I'm elated! I guess I better tell you who I am. This is JJStar--you may not remember me because it's been so long. I haven't been on this site for at least 6 years, but you used to give me great ratings when I used to write about the teacher who gave it all up to go race her sailboat in Maui...I'm using my hubby's account to help him review and edit his work. I loved, loved, loved your writing then certainly still do!

About this Cancer doesn't care--you are absolutely right, and it sucks. I've had several friends since the last time I spoke who have had or are still fighting their cancer. I am so grateful you're okay and are hanging tough. Thank God! Your writing is just as thoughtful, sensitive, and awesome as ever. OMG!!!! I have six years of your work to catch up on---guess I better get busy!!!!!!

Amen! God does care! And He cared for your other friend who passed away. Ovarian cancer is so difficult. We have a long prayer list of people battling cancer or some other health issue. I'm three years clear after my brush with cancer and my husband is hanging in there with a smoldering kind of cancer. God still cares and provides. Thanks for sharing.
