Hi Tom,
First I didn't remember what Eidolons was - I had to look it up - I remember it being something in D&D then I remember the shadow/phantom after seeing the definition.

Then, of course, the other place of darkness where the dead go - sheols - I learned a new word - your account of fear and the endless part 1 & 2 is now taking the top spot for me. I shivered when I read this. I stopped because I felt my heart beating faster. I felt almost like I was going to panic as I was reading - you were conveying the feeling of fear to me.

I just had to wait to Sunday morning to give you the six it deserved and I will continue to do this on things that just knock my socks off from you - this did! Bravo! Fan - freaking- TASTIC!!!

Also until I'm ranked I have to spread the love around a bit. So please if you don't hear from me, it is not that I'm not reading your beautiful work. I am. I just have to survive too! Cheers, Fonda

The sleep of dreamless sleep denied....This is the centre of the poem which is a soldiers nightmare and the phantoms that follow him,as lies in the hospital.

EASYEVERETT1,

Thoughts are expressed and described well. The theme was well chosen. This poem was arranged very well. Nicely effective and impressive. Very well reflected thoughts and expressions.

There was no SPAG. No typos. No homophones. No problems at all.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

Wonderful job! Each word flows cleanly into the next painting this majestic piece. It definitely deserves many spectacular titles. I would have given it a six star but sadly I am out. Thank you for sharing.

First of all I love your rhyme - it's my perfect type of read - I remember you from my first time here a ways back - war is hate - and a soldier is placed on battlefields for reasons unknown to him - to be thrown into the pits of hell although he's done nothing wrong - great poem from the soldiers perspective of the between the lines - by the way easy my old name here was thylorddracula perhaps you recall or maybe not - it's been awhile my friend - respectfully Ron

8 Stars and then some. This reads like a 152+ I.Q. presentation.Being a 133 myself,I.m not sure I qualify to review.A try.The veracity of the idea flow is noteable.A multi dimensional. It appears that this would keep it's validity even 500 years from now. What other pearls might you create to prosper Humanity with?Hope I encounter more.

This is a finely honed and heartfelt story about what happens in war and the effects it has on the soldiers on return. War is hell and so are the lives of some vets who suffer from PTSD and have nightmares because of what they saw and did while fighting.

Thanks for your service. For I feel only a vet could write this so clearly.
and meaningfully.

Keep writing

Joan

I think most of us have felt this inner fear, I know when growing up I did not like fighting (physical) I did wonder whether I was afraid of being hurt or hurting someone else, as my circumstances were a choice was made, at least I had one, unlike some of the soldiers who do not, an excellent read and poem on the fears of man****kahpot
