-Good image and presentation.
-I like your parody, too.
-I am fan of Hemingway, so the
references to him are great:
"And my sun didn't also rise,"
-I like how you begin and
end with the same verse.
-I like your positive approach,
and maybe you will write that book someday!
-Good luck in the contest.

This is the best Song Parody entry I have read so far, and it's the fourth one. I do know the song, and you did an excellent job parodying it. Good luck in the contest.

This song parody of I'm Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer, I'm Pretty Good at Makin' Rhymes, covers the song well and picks up the humor as well as a writing theme. Nice.

Thanks, Sherry. I really appreciate your neat comments.
I was not familiar with the song until my sister told me how much she loved it, so I listened to it and then wrote my version. And now that I have Alexa, I can hear him anytime and sing along (with my own words, of course) :)

You are a clever girl!! Alexa is a bit of a mystery to me, but it is quite popular I can see.

thank you!! She is a mystery to me, too. I have a friend who says, "You know, she is following everything you do." Hadn't thought of that, but then, so is the internet. But, she IS fun. I'm enjoying her.

Great song parody song contest entry. I like the hook a lot. I like the way you have chosen a larger font, the picture I'm guessing is the guy who sings the original song. Which by the way - I have no idea who this is - I guess I am out of that loop - but that is okay cause the whole things stands up on its own. Which by and by that is what you want anyway. So good to you in your contest. Thank you for making me do an accent when reading your song parody! Cheers, Fonda

well, I'm from GA, too, so I also have to do an accent :)
The singer's name is under his picture and if you feel like googling him or you tubing him singing his song, I think you'll like it.
Thank you for your very nice review. Much appreciated!

This is a very good parody, consistent with the song, good rephrasing with great rhythm and flow. some Country music is parody of itself. that actually makes it tougher....................meeshu

I must admit to not being familiar with this artist or song, but I shall definitely have a listen on YouTube right after this.

Excellent use of the Pulitzer Prize. I personally it's much overrated and that isn't sour grapes either. lol

Great job with your parody and much luck to you in the contest booth.

I like the lyrics and was singing them in my head as I read. Very well done. It has good flow and rhythm. Saw the word "oher" jobs... Probably meant Other. Write on! TA ";-)
