You have been hitting them pretty hard lately, Everett. Is everything okay? That last stanza worries me.
I know when it becomes my time,
I'll try to squeeze out one more rhyme.

A nicely penned an optimistic poem about finding one's inner light and finding peace, love, and contentment after a lifelong struggle with the dark demons of one's mind.

You did a great job with your poem, ee. I really liked the
meter and the rhymes. Both added to the enjoyment of
your well thought out poem. I believed there was more here
than a testament on how your muse helped you. I believed
there's a hidden agenda included such as a medical issue
that was resolved like cataracts.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I'd suggest your poetry, along with your sight should be rated near PERFECT. In the eyes of this writer you rate near the very best on this site. I read your work in the hope I may improve. And as that old English Marist Brother once said, Cullen there's a lot of room for improvement.

Just wonderful.
I loved this stanza:
I thank the teaching of the muse
who then, in gentle quietude,
committed to me rules to use
applied and tried in solitude.
You write with intensity. Thank you.

A serene sentiment is worth keeping in our memory for recollection on those days when we find no peace. Those moments that we treasure in quiet solitude are often magical moments in time, I enjoyed the journey here Tom, love Dolly x
