Who are The Powers That Be? Do you experience anything like this? Have you read any Anthony Peake concerning the multiple possible realities he believes we exist in?
I saw no "nits," maybe a couple of vaguely "clumsy" spots. Not enough to note.

Who are The Powers That Be? Do you experience anything like this? Have you read any Anthony Peake concerning the multiple possible realities he believes we exist in?
I saw no "nits," maybe a couple of vaguely "clumsy" spots. Not enough to note.

I think you might find Kate is Scottish English and it is different, as is the North of England to the South of England where I live. Thank you so much, Wabigoon, for the lovely 6 stars and for the fabulous review. The Powers That Be are like time watchers, who keep an eye on the time-line, no one gets to meet them. I do believe there are multiple realities and we do move on from here when we have used up our physical bodies. I will find out one day! LOL I will take a look at Anthony Peake's book, he sounds interesting. Your theories are too, I can't wait to read your next piece. Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Without a doubt you knew how to keep this chapter going and getting more intense when Veronica is very worried about Mildred going back it the past and wondering if Mildred was there at the time when the hospital was hit.

I love the way you can blend normal life moments and keep the tension in your story. Have you ever seen the show Outlander? It does a bunch of jumping around in time. I am wondering if Mildred was really there or a ghost of herself. I have heard it said that ghost are just another plane of existence. Is your time travel just that another plane of existence. Also her seeing Mildred and than waking up is like being in a dream state and seeing her. I did like how you wrote this chapter. I was glued and wanted to read more. Well done.

That is such a lovely, encouraging review, thank you so very much. Mildred is an enigma, she died at the end of the last book, but the Powers-that-be brought her back as her younger self to continue working with Veronica for this last assignment. Veronica was taken back in the first book to show her how cruel she was to an older woman who had suffered a lot of abuse from her father-in-law. (not sexual) Since then, the Powers have used her to sort out possible problems that could alter the time line. This one is her hardest and final case. I'm so pleased you are enjoying it, and yes, I have seen the first series of the Outlander, it's a terrific show, and I used to watch Quantum Leap, which was also one of my favorites. I do like time travel, and have tried to write my own in a different way to any one else's. To have you say you was glued and wanted to read more, totally made my day. Thank you! :) Sandra xx

You are welcome. I use to watch Quantum Leap also. I like how it would use the story line to explain something in the past, and how it came about. Like the Halloween episode and Steven King.

Yes, I remember that episode. This book I'm writing now, started off with the suffragettes and a character called Gladys whose husband really didn't approve of what she was doing. He is the Vice Admiral who would be responsible for changing the outcome of the war by altering the Jutland sea battle to another area. So, it's all fun ahead. I love Steven King's book, well, some of them!
