I found this work to be very rare indeed, all in a good way for certain. I enjoyed it very much and thank this author for a really fine and uncommon read. I have no suggestions to offer to improve this work in any way1

This is great! Very imaginative, I love the way you presented this work. Little children can always be called upon to make a wonderful world out of anything, including being a soldier. I can feel the joy emanating from this piece. Thanks for sharing. :)

I enjoyed this little guy's army adventure.
Great images let us see him clearly enjoying
his maneuvers.
The use of first person brings about the reality.
Lovely free verse.

Hi,
Recently I was told that my reviewing basicly sucks. So this week,
this is my review. I'm taking a survey... Would you rather:
A: Have a true review
B: Have a certain 5-star generic review
Choose wisely and be sure of your choice so I can save myself the
needless time and tears over those who don't want to hear them.
I'll make a list.
And remember.... LEARNING IS EARNING

This is a good free verse of a young boy enjoying playing soldier. Your words are descriptive, create great imagery, flow smoothly one to the other, and were fun to read. I could picture this as I read it. Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan

I really liked your poem. It managed to show excitement at the soldier's actions, but, at the same time, it showed the monotony of the soldier's life. Great job.

I'm sure many that played at soldiers ultimately found that it was nothing like the real deal. Enjoyed this one Mike, brought back memories of my son and his mates playing soldiers with their wooden guns when they were about this little lad's size. Like they say -
thanks for the memories.
cheers,
valda

Excellent, and it would have been great if those thoughts of a little boy or girl could have stayed just there, as thoughts, but as we know reality strikes and then we are living the dream (unfortunately), very well written****kahpot

Fun story.
Give my regards to Curtis Avenue: remember me to the the Blithersnipes.

Man cannot possess anything as long as he fears death. But to him who does not fear it, everything belongs. If there was no suffering, man would not know his limits, would not know himself. "
