This is such a creative poem comparing love to fabric textures. Love the line about spandex. Your opening verse draws the reader into your poem which is unique and makes the reader think.

And thus you have described not only the fabric of love, but you have managed to describe quite succinctly, the very fabric of life. All that you wrote, perfectly sums up what love and life are all about, metaphorically speaking.

This is just great poetry! You have done a wonderful job in picking fabric for each part. I am thrilled to have read this - and it has poked my muse.
Very nice writing!

-Thanks for sharing
the idea you found
and the poem, Joan.
-You did a good job with it.
-I liked the variety of
fabrics you chose and
the imagery to go with them.
-My favorite verse is the
first one because you show
love as "smooth and soft,"
and cotton is a good comparison.
-Thanks for sharing it.

And you've used the different fabrics well through these verses Joan.I particularly liked the 'forgiving as spandex' and long lasting as polyester. We all found that out. What works when you're young needs little alterations with age. Well done Joan. Cheers

Very well written. You accomplished the goal. This made me smile. You can't destroy polyester unless you set it on fire. Fun poem. I like the phrase - as bumpy as corduroy.

What a clever poem, seeped in metaphors and similes, all very relatable. Lot's of fun to read...favorite line: Love as forgiving as spandex. I loved it.
