This is a superb piece of poetry. Through the use of a series of very creative similes, you have conveyed a powerful message about how a relationship goes through stages and CAN be made to last!

Very clever how you gave several definitions of love as material. Silk, cotton, fleece, burlap, lace, corduroy, spandex and polyester. How about wool, what would you classify wool as....picky, makes you itchy?

This is a nicely written poem.with patience and faith You can have love as forgiving as spandex. So it will last as long as polyester. Cool. Using fabric texture as a metaphor. Nicely done.

It really works well here writing a poem about love using fabric texture as metaphors - amazing -from the 'smooth as silk' phase to the 'Last as long/As polyster'

This is a great response to the challenge! You used an amazing variety of fabrics to highlight the various moods of love. Yes, things don't always turn out smooth as silk - more often than not - things itch like burlap! Well done!

It shows me love can be in different shades. It's not always perfect. There's good times and bad. I understood this poem clearly. I enjoyed reading. I don't think it needs work. Perfect the way it's written.

I'm glad you added your notes on why you were inspired to write the Fabric Of Love. Your metaphors were great, I especially enjoyed scratchy as burlap and as forgiving as spandex.

Thanks for the review and all the stars. Forgiving as spandex seems to be the number one favorite line so far.

How very clever. Really well done. It is creative and very imaginative and each image is just right for the different stages of love. "Cold as lace in winter" - that is really good!
