I love this form Estory... It is very easy to read and flows well and don't get me started on change.... How many more years do you have... The world's gone mad...

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your encouraging comments supporting this piece. I'm glad it was so thought provoking for you. For better or worse, change is a part of life and the world. How would it be to be a stone sitting there in the stream of life? estory

A very well-written poem about changes that sometimes come our way that we don't like much at first but eventually we see it is for our own good, other changes we thought to be good we see later it was not the best change.

This is an interesting poem on your featured word "change." Line #7 has the word "decor." I believe that is what it is supposed to be, but it has added characters which make it pretty much unreadable. The site often does that. Just check it out. Getting back to "change," that is surely one constant we can count on. Marilyn

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your comments and perspective. I know what you mean about the problems the site has with French words. But what can you do. It is what it is. estory

Hi estory, the word change is a great word because within lies so many possibilities. A fact that your wonderful free word poem greatly explore. Your poem comes round full circle and I liked that a lot.
As if changing around the d©cor of our apartments. On FS you can't use fancy words, so this just have to be 'decor' I liked your poem a lot. All the best. Ulla:))

Life is all about change, that's for certain.
I look forward to change, but then look forward to sameness also.
I couldn't imagine a world without change.
I think it would die.
Love the changes here!!
Blessings...

Thanks for the excellent review and all your wonderful comments and perspective on the poem. I am glad it got you thinking about all the things change means to life. It is necessary. But also unsettling at times. Change challenges the control we like to have over events. estory

Hi Estory! I found myself really caught up in your poem, Change. At this time in my life, I'm contemplating it at just every single solitary turn! I can think of little else... I find myself counting down the time.... and wondering if I'll be able to when the clock has wound down in one way or will I have to wait... I don't want to have to NOT wait, but I don't want to have to stay either. Time is a funny thing... time and change.
One spot... "decor" that's all!
Loved it!
Susan

Thanks so much for the excellent review and all your comments and suggestions, and your perspective on the poem. Change is a necessary part of life; who wants to be a stone in the stream of it? But also unsettling, challenging our sense of control over events. estory

I like this style, estory. It does explore so many meanings and nuances of each type of word usage... Good job on using opposites ... changes we choose and those we do not. Great job on this.

Excellent play on the word "change," with an ending that brings it altogether well. I guess we can't get past the reality of change. And even if we try to, our appearances will betray us. Hopefully, we strive to change for the better. Good job, overall.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your comments supporting the poem. In some ways, I think the poem is really about our feeling the need to control life, and how change disrupts that control, or sense of control we like to have. I tried to have fun playing around with all the ways change can affect life. it was fun to write. estory

I like the the way changing governments work, at least for a short time you get the enthusiasm that comes with that. Changing hearts is a much more challenging thing however, but it's the only thing that will better our society, making laws doesn't work. Beautufully written, it will work for the individual, but not the collective, well done, great write, blessings, Roy

Thanks so much for the excellent review and all your wonderful encouraging comments supporting the piece as well as your perspective on the poem. Change is a fact of life. We have to learn to live with it, and maybe in the end, it forces us to lose our desire to control events and trust in the God who has a plan for us. estory

This is an excellent poem about change. I remember working with high school students in band who would complain about things changing. I gave them a short lecture on the fact that all their lives they would confront change, so they needed to roll with the punches that change brings to our lives. Patricia

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your little perspective on the poem. It is an example I would use myself. Change is a part of life, and what we have to adjust is our need for control. Change pulls the rug out from under our feet. estory
