I feel the same, I look and do not recognise the person looking back at me! Where did that young girl go? Now ravaged by age, an old woman looks back at me! I could identify with your words, love Dolly x

    Dear Dolly' thank you for your review and the five stars. 'Ravaged" is a cruel word my dear, surely you could deal with yourself more kindly than that. Try "time honored" or even "world weary". LOL LOXL. CheersCass

I like this very much. I can picture myself in front of that mirror wondering where is that cute little girl. Wondering what happened to that beautiful young woman. This is a wonderful entry for the contest and I hope you win. Well done. Keep writing, and good luck in the contest.

A very well-written poem about what we see in the mirror that reflects something familiar but not quite the same as we remember it was years ago. We wonder when the girl we know once becomes our mother.
