Excellent analogy with the fact that the willow bends but doesn't break. As you state, that's a good thing for people to be like the willow, bending with whatever life brings but not breaking. You state that trust in God is the way to keep from braking. Very gracefully presented, with excellent wording. Happy New Year. judi

I enjoyed this very much. Beautifully written and I love that it is dedicated to a fellow Fabstory friend. I still have 118 characters to use to meet my review 150 character number. So I need to babble a bit longer to me my quota.

I love your picture of a willow. It brings back a lot of childhood memories. I had a willow tree, hide out, lol. Your poem is well-written, so true, if we put our faith, our trust in the lord we can survive anything. Great job as always.

I appreciated your salute to the willow tree and lauding its ability to bend and not break in storms, which makes it a great role model for how to live our own lives. Thanks for adding the reinforcing picture as well. Cheers- Joan

This is a lovely poem, Patricia. I love the comparison. Willows are my favourite trees, but I had never thought about them this way.
Thanks for sharing.

This concise, moving piece effectively conveys the theme that
inability to bend is the cause of one's breaking. We must
trust God to help us bend.

Hi Patricia. Happy new year. So true, we must be flexible and not brittle. Go with the flow as we used to say and be ready for the curves life throws us with God guiding. Marilyn

We may feel broken, hurt disillusioned...but it's not reality. Reality is that the trust we place in God will always see us through the storms. Beautiful...
Blessings...

I like the message in your poem, Patricia. You did a good job expressing your thoughts/feelings with your well-chosen words. I agree about how the willow bends but doesn't always break. Your picture choice is a great pairing with your words. Thanks for sharing. Jan
