Excellent material for this contest, and best of luck. You really had a close call. You do a great job of describing everything--the driving conditions, the men who rescued you, and your recovery, which seems to have been a long one. You were fortunate the fire department was able to get there quickly to take you to the hospital. As badly injured as you were, it's amazing you can still remember so many details. I haven't had a rib injury, but I know they can be extremely painful. Well told. judi

This must have been a horrific event for you. Thank goodness your gardian amgels were looking over you, protecting you from harm. It sounds like you've been protected several times throughout your life. Guess god has more for your to do, which is good news for all of us.

Fascinating and very interesting story of your car accident. Two years ago I broke 11 ribs in a car accident and it took nearly two years to heal. Two of the ribshaven't healed and probably wont. Now I have five more to deal with.

Hi Patricia. I'm glad that you survived the accident and hope that the poor doggy survived, too. Animals in the road whether dogs or deer are dangerous to them and us.
